November 15 Set for Ronaldinho’s Return
Ravenna announced that Ronaldinho will feature in the derby against Forli at the Stadio Bruno Benelli on November 15.
The Brazilian legend joined Ravenna in June 2026 and later acquired a stake in the club. However, supporters had been waiting for confirmation of the date of his return to the pitch.
The club has now confirmed the highly anticipated appearance, turning the local derby into a major talking point beyond Italian football.
First Competitive Appearance Since 2015
Ronaldinho last played a competitive match for Brazilian club Fluminense in 2015 before officially announcing his retirement in 2018.
His appearance for Ravenna would therefore mark his return to competitive football after more than a decade away from the game.
During his illustrious career, Ronaldinho won the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Brazil and claimed the Ballon d’Or in 2005. He also enjoyed major success with Barcelona, winning the UEFA Champions League and domestic league titles.
Can Ronaldinho Reach 300 Career Goals?
One of the biggest talking points surrounding his comeback is the possibility of reaching the 300-goal milestone.
According to Reuters, Ronaldinho has scored 299 career goals. A goal for Ravenna would therefore give the Brazilian another memorable achievement to celebrate.
However, his expected playing time and whether he will score in the match remain uncertain.
